Your Strong(est) Memories
In the November 2007 issue of eTorch, we published a letter from Penny Prince Parker, B.S. ’82, M.S. ’85, calling for a reunion of "strong" ladies in light of the impending closing of Strong Hall. After several months of your continued correspondence regarding this grande dame of UT residence halls, a reunion of former residents is in the works (announced in the June 2008 issue of eTorch). As part of 2008 Homecoming—Nov. 7-8—the alumni office is planning a reunion/reception for former Strong Hall residents in the old Sophie’s dining room. There’ll be refreshments and tours of the building, which has just been retired from active service as a residence hall. We'll be publishing details of the reunion, along with your continued reminiscences, in eTorch.
