Riding in Style
Got a Big Orange ride? Maybe a vintage convertible or a hot new model? Would you like to show it off in the Homecoming parade? Alumni Homecoming Director Phyllis Moore wants to hear from you.
“We have a limited number of spots in the Homecoming parade where we’d like alumni to drive their orange and white vehicles—particularly convertibles. You might drive the parade grand marshal, the chancellor, or the alumni association president.”
The parade will be Friday afternoon, Nov. 2, and will include the Pride of the Southland Band, cheerleaders, Smokey, floats made by student groups, special guests, and other dignitaries.
If you’re interested, contact Phyllis at 865-974-3011 or phyllismoore@tennessee.edu.
Regardless of whether you want to be in the parade, send eTorch pictures of your orange and white vehicles (torch@tennessee.edu). Maybe it’s a car, but it could also be your boat, bike, or RV. When you send pictures, be sure to include your name and graduation year.
The Vols will play Louisiana-Lafayette in the Homecoming football game Nov. 3.
